EyeOnWater
What is EyeOnWater?
Willows Water is undertaking a multi‑year upgrade to its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system. Unlike traditional water meters, which are read every two months, AMI meters automatically transmit water usage data on a daily basis.
This technology provides customers with greater insight into their water use through EyeOnWater, a free online portal and mobile app.
With EyeOnWater, customers can:
- Monitor water usage throughout the month
- View detailed consumption trends
- Track daily water use
- Set continuous‑flow and leak alerts
- Identify potential leaks before they become costly problems
- Make informed decisions to improve water efficiency
Customers with older, non‑AMI meters can still access the customer portal; however, usage information will be limited to bi‑monthly billing data. Once an AMI meter is installed, additional EyeOnWater features and detailed water usage information will become available.
Willows Water Meter Replacement Program
Willows Water replaces approximately 250 residential water meters each year based on meter age and high consumption levels. As part of this ongoing program, older meters are being upgraded to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology.
Once your property receives a new AMI meter, you will gain access to EyeOnWater.
If you are unsure whether your property has an AMI meter or an older meter, please contact our office by phone or email customerservice@willowswater.org and we will be happy to assist.
Customers who currently have an older meter and are interested in an upgrade may request to be placed on a waiting list. Meters are replaced based on District replacement criteria, including age, condition, and overall replacement priorities.

If you still have an older meter, you can still access the portal, however, you will only see your water usage monthly. Once you get your new AMI meter, you will begin to view greater detail and have access to tools like leak alerts.
